Sicilian Sal’s is a family-run, women-owned business built on a simple idea — great Italian food should be fun, shareable, and enjoyed together.

The name “Sal” honors a beloved great-grandfather whose love of Italian cooking and gathering around the table continues to inspire everything we do. Many of our dishes are inspired by family recipes passed down through generations, keeping tradition at the heart of every meal.The inspiration for Sicilian Sal’s came during a visit to the Kansas City Italian Festival.  After noticing there wasn’t a vendor serving toasted ravioli — a favorite Italian classic — the idea was born to create a portable, festival-friendly way to enjoy it. Using a simple tray, crispy ravioli, warm marinara, and mozzarella sticks were transformed into a walk-around Italian street food experience.

What started as one creative idea quickly grew into something more.

Today, Sicilian Sal’s is proudly led by strong women and supported by family at every level. For the past five years, we’ve served the Kansas City community at festivals, school functions, church gatherings, corporate events, and private celebrations — bringing people together over authentic flavors and heartfelt hospitality.

We’re also proud to partner with local favorites like Roma Bread to ensure every sandwich and dish is made with quality ingredients while supporting fellow local businesses.
